Liability Waiver

Assumption of Risk

By using HausDogs services, you acknowledge that dog care services involve inherent risks, including but not limited to: injury to your pet, property damage, allergic reactions, escape or loss, interaction with other animals, and exposure to weather or environmental conditions.

Waiver and Release

You agree to release, waive, and hold harmless HausDogs, its officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, and actions arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury that may occur during the provision of services booked through our platform.

Pet Owner Responsibilities

As a pet owner, you are responsible for disclosing all known health conditions, behavioral issues, and special needs of your pet. You must ensure your pet is current on all required vaccinations. You agree to provide accurate information about your pet's temperament and any history of aggression or anxiety.

Provider Insurance and Coverage

Providers on HausDogs are independent contractors, responsible for their own insurance. For facilities, a member of our team checks the policy against the evidence the facility provides — usually a certificate of insurance — and records what was checked and when. A facility's Credentialed Facility badge comes down if the policy lapses, until a current one is verified. Individual providers are not required to carry a policy, and we do not verify one.

HausDogs does not provide insurance and does not act as an insurer. There is no HausDogs policy that supplements or stands behind a provider's coverage. Any claim arising from a booked service is between you, the provider, and the provider's carrier.

A facility we have verified shows a “Liability insurance verified” mark on its listing. Individual providers are not required to carry a policy, and their listings do not display one. If the details of a provider's coverage matter to you, ask them before you book.

Emergency Authorization

By booking a service, you authorize the provider to seek emergency veterinary care for your pet if necessary and agree to reimburse reasonable emergency veterinary expenses incurred. You should provide your veterinarian's contact information and any emergency instructions in your pet's profile.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from services booked through HausDogs shall be resolved through our internal dispute resolution process first. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
