How we screen providers

Your dog's safety is our top priority, and no one appears on HausDogs without being screened first. There are two kinds of providers here — people offering care themselves, and businesses with credentialed staff — so there are two screening routes. They check different evidence to the same standard, and every provider clears one of them before approval, never after.

Individual providers

A person caring for your dog themselves — walker, sitter, home boarder, trainer.

    Application review

    Every application is read and judged by a person on our team — never by an algorithm.

    Identity screening

    Identity is checked against the licence details every applicant provides, and every applicant consents to a background check. Where we run one, the results are reviewed before approval, and providers who clear it carry the Background Checked badge on their profile.

  3. 3

    Certification

    Approved individuals complete our certification — nine modules on dog behavior, first aid, safety, emergencies, and professional conduct, each with a pass mark. They are not bookable until it's done.

Credentialed Facility

Businesses & facilities

A registered company with credentialed staff — training facility, kennel, mobile vet or grooming practice.

    Entity verification

    The legal entity is checked against its state registration — a real, registered business at a real commercial location.

    Insurance verification

    Liability insurance is checked by a member of our team against the evidence the facility provides, with what was checked recorded and the expiration tracked. The facility badge appears only once that check is done, and comes down if the policy lapses.

  3. 3

    Staff credential verification

    Each staff member's professional credential — a training certification, a state license — is checked with its issuing body by a person on our team, who records what was checked, where, and when.

Meet & greet first

Before any booking, every provider — individual or facility — meets your dog to confirm the fit and learn their routine.

Ongoing accountability

Reviews come only from completed bookings, we monitor performance continuously, and providers who don't meet the standard are removed. Facility credentials and insurance are tracked for expiration and re-verified on renewal.
